Whether it is facing giants or standing with our backs against the wall, we all have moments when we cry out for help.
A miracle is often the response to a dire need. This is the paradox of our faith if you ask me.
Think about it
Think about it, we all want the healing, but to receive a healing miracle we must first be sick or afflicted. We all want the provision, but to receive a financial miracle we first need to lack money, to be at the end of our wits. We want the blessing of a revival, an awakening, in our country... but it will come with persecution.
Letting go of the reigns
The whole idea of God coming to our rescue is wonderful, but we have to be lost, we have to be in need. And this is exactly where we struggle to let go of the reigns, not wanting to admit that we have no clue. We want to be independent, self-sufficient, self-sustaining even. Who needs a God? That is a paradoxical question in itself.
We all need a miracle
We all need God, simply because we all need rescuing from time to time. We all need healing, we all need a miracle. If we can only come to the point where we admit our sins and shortcomings, we will discover that God is right there with an outstretched hand!

May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
[Galatians 1:3-5]

Being self-sufficient unto ourselves is one of the biggest lies the enemy wants us to believe. Without God, and His miraculous grace and love, where would we be? I shudder to think! Blessings, Marja!
ReplyDeleteWhere would we be? Well, I know for sure I would not be in a good place. He has guided and directed me towards His plans and purposes. Thank you!
DeleteWe're only saved through a moral miracle; and the God we trust can work physical miracles if that is His will.
ReplyDeleteYes, He is a miracle working God, in all areas of life. And the best thing is: He is willing! Thanks David.
