For quite some years, I have been asking for a specific word for each upcoming year—a word that, as it were, runs like a thread through the things I write and do.
My #oneword for 2025 is WHISPER.
The scripture to go with that word comes from Matthew 10:27 where Jesus speaks to His disciples: What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!
In a world with a lot of noise, it is not always easy to hear what the Holy Spirit wants to whisper in your ear. We have to remove all the noise from the line in order to hear well. I am convinced that God always speaks to people; through His Word, His Spirit, and other people.
When we receive something, we can also share it and encourage each other in that way, whether we write, speak, draw, or sing. Sharing good news is always better than repeating bad news!
